AI code review
How Solemly's AI code review works
Solemly reviews a pull request when it's opened or gets a new commit. It reads the diff with the related files, the project structure and your instruction files, double-checks what it finds, posts each finding with a severity, and reports Solemly / Review, Solemly / Security and, with Jira, Solemly / Acceptance as checks you can require before merging.

What each code host gets
| Code host | Where the review goes | How the result is reported |
|---|---|---|
| GitHub | One native pull request review, with inline comments on the changed lines and one-click suggested fixes where they fit. | Check runs, which branch protection can require. |
| GitLab | One note on the merge request, listing every finding with its file, line and severity. | Commit statuses on the merge request's pipeline. |
| Bitbucket Cloud | One comment on the pull request, listing every finding with its file, line and severity. | Build statuses, which merge checks can require. |
The checks
| Check | Reports |
|---|---|
Solemly / Review | The review: complete, or blocking when a high-severity finding is open and the repository blocks on them. |
Solemly / Security | The security review, on its own check. |
Solemly / Summary | Whether a summary of the change was written into the pull request description. |
Solemly / Acceptance | With Jira connected, whether the change does what its linked ticket asks. |

Questions
Which platforms does Solemly work with?
GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket Cloud. Each has its own install, and reviews post natively on each: PR reviews and check runs on GitHub, MR notes and commit statuses on GitLab, PR comments and build statuses on Bitbucket.
Can it actually block a merge?
Yes. Solemly sets a Solemly / Review status on every pull request. Turn on blocking for a repo and mark the status as required in branch protection (or your merge checks), and a PR can't merge while a high-severity finding is open. Push a fix and the review re-runs.
Is there a free trial?
Yes - 14 days with every feature, and no credit card to start. Install it on a repo and your next pull request gets reviewed.
