Connect Your Coding Agent

Give Claude Code, Cursor or Codex access to your review findings.

Connect your coding agent to Solemly so it can read review findings and request reviews. It uses Solemly's MCP server at https://api.solemly.com/mcp.

1. Create a token#

In Solemly, open the account menu and choose Connect your agent. Create a personal token and copy it: it's shown only once.

  • Tokens start with slm_.
  • Choose when it expires: 30 days, 90 days, 1 year or never.
  • A token can read findings and request reviews, and only for the repositories you can see in Solemly.

2. Add Solemly to your agent#

In Claude Code, in a terminal or VS Code, run:

/plugin marketplace add Solemly-AI/claude-plugins
/plugin install solemly@solemly

Paste your token when Claude Code asks for it. It's kept in your system's credential store. Run /mcp to check solemly is connected. If /plugin isn't recognised, update Claude Code first.

The plugin adds two commands:

CommandWhat it does
/solemly:fixFixes the Solemly findings on the current pull request.
/solemly:review-loopFixes, asks before pushing, waits for the new review and repeats until nothing HIGH or CRITICAL is left.

Claude Code: MCP server only#

To connect the MCP server without the plugin's commands:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http solemly https://api.solemly.com/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer slm_your_token"

Cursor#

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, your user settings, so the token stays out of repositories. Then turn on solemly under Settings → MCP.

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "solemly": {
      "url": "https://api.solemly.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer slm_your_token" }
    }
  }
}

Codex#

Codex reads the token from an environment variable, so it never lands in a file:

bash
codex mcp add solemly --url https://api.solemly.com/mcp \
  --bearer-token-env-var SOLEMLY_API_TOKEN

Then set the variable in your shell profile (~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc) before starting Codex:

bash
export SOLEMLY_API_TOKEN=slm_your_token

3. Use it#

Ask your agent in plain words:

Fix the Solemly findings on this pull request.

See the MCP Tools Reference for what the agent can do.
